Practice in training what you plan to do for racing. Keep it simple and always have a back-up plan

Always pre swim, bike and run the course. Walk through transition. Write lists of what you need to do and pack for race day in advance - don't leave it until the morning of the race!
6. Any tips for race day itself?
Eat breakfast even if you don't feel like it and it is very important to keep yourself hydrated prior to the race. Follow a routine when you set up your transition area and find a quiet place to relax before the start of the race to prepare yourself.

Trying to reach my potential
8. What is your greatest achievement to date?

Biking to running - I'm good at it (in comparison to swimming!)
10. Any tips on how to fit in training with our studies?
Find training times that fit into your day. Early training may not be too palatable but it will set you up for the day. Look for sessions that have a social aspect and give you bang for your buck - group turbo sessions, group running sessions
11. Any final words of advice?
Triathlon is an expensive sport when you are a student - don't get caught up in the bling. As long as you have some basic equipment you will have just as much fun as the next person. Best value for money comes from investing in a coach who knows their stuff.
